There are two main attractions in Orlando - several beautiful resorts and golf. It is rightly said that Orlando is one of Americas golf capitals. There are around 150 golf courses in greater Orlando. All these golf courses have world class facilities.

Many Orlando resorts have exclusive golf courses as one of their amenities. Most resorts have golf courses with 18 holes covering several acres. There are some resorts that are meant only for golf. ChampionsGate Golf club is one such resort which provides two 18-hole championship golf courses, which are said to be one of the best in the US. This resort hosts several tournaments including the popular World Points Father/Son Challenge. The courses at this resort have been designed by International golf champion Greg Norman. Another popular golf resort in Orlando is the Walt Disney World Resort which spans 6,680 yards of green. Other golf resorts in Orlando are: The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, The Orlando World Center Marriott Resort, Arnold Palmers Bay Hill, Osprey Ridge, Oak Trail, Magnolia, Eagle Pines, Palm Golf Course, and many more.

Orlando golf resorts also provide golf instruction by professional coaches. Orlando has six golf instruction academies that use personalized teaching methods and state of the art equipment. Orlando resorts also have miniature golf courses.

The Internet is a good source of information for Orlando golf resorts. There are several sites that provide facts about these resorts. You can also compare offers and prices and choose the best ones. These sites are also updated regularly with latest offers. However, check for reviews of these Orlando golf resorts. Reviews may be posted on some specific websites on the Internet or they may come from someone who has visited Orlando and is willing to give some first-hand advice.

Belly Fat - How To Lose It And Tone Those Abs

The key to losing belly fat lies in a combination of reducing calorific intake and aerobic exercise. The importance of losing belly fat cannot be over emphasized; a slimmer waistline not only looks and feels better, but has significant health benefits too.

Research has found that waist size rather than overall body weight is a key indicator of heart disease(1). Belly fat is much more dangerous than fat around the hips. So what can we do?

Consume fewer calories than you burn off and YOU WILL lose weight. Unfortunately where you lose it from first is largely dictated by your genes. This may be disheartening, especially if the weight comes off your face or bust first and you still have that belly fat to contend with. However its unlikely that you will continue to lose fat from areas that you are satisfied with without losing it from your belly.

There is little evidence to support the theory that eating certain foods will help you lose fat. A well balance diet is essential in any weight loss program. Quick fix diets often rely on cutting out certain food groups, depriving the body of essential nutrients. A diet low in fat is certainly preferable, but, for example a no fatdiet will cause the body to store any existing fat (natural defense mechanism)making any fat loss extremely difficult. Alternatively a diet high in fat and low in carbs( fuel) such as the Atkins Dietmay have serious health implications and leave you feeling exhausted. Plan your meals according to your lifestyle: if you work days, make breakfast the main meal of the day. Night workers are best making their evening meal their main one. Whenever possible avoid eating a main meal 4 hours before you go to bed.

Eat wisely and incorporate healthy eating into your lifestyle; that way the weight will not only come off but more importantly, stay off.

Aerobic Exercises are great for burning fat and are therefore imperative for any weight loss program. If you prefer not to exercise alone but dont have the time, means or inclination to join a fitness class, why not organize a game of rounders/baseball or a kick-about in the local park. Your kids will love it-especially if they can beat you!

Running, cycling, swimming and brisk walking are great ways to burn fat . These activities may be easier to build into your program because you can do them on your own. Be sure not to overdo things, particularly if you are grossly overweight, of advancing years or simply havent exercised for some time. Dont take any unnecessary risks-if in doubt consult your doctor.

Toning is important at all stages of your weight loss program. Toning exercises unlike aerobic exercises can be performed by those of us with a low tolerance to exercise.. Toning is site specific. leaving you firmly in control. Strengthening the abdominal muscles will help you to hold your belly in. This will automatically make you look slimmer. Lose the fat and show off those well toned muscles.

Try out the following toning exercises and enjoy the instant gratification.

Stomach Crunches

Lie on your back with your feet as close as possible to your bum.

Place hands on chest and lift your shoulders off the floor whilst keeping lower back on the floor and the neck still to avoid straining. Hold for 5 seconds then relax. Gradually increase reps and length of holds.

Aim for tolerable discomfort

Sit-Ups

Great for the abdominals. Follow my simple guide to avoid putting pressure on the lower back.

Sitting on the floor with knees bent hook your toes (soles down) under a secure fixture such as a wall rail, ideally no more than 3inches high because youll need to keep your bum and heels firmly on the floor.

Clasp hands behind the back of the head and lean back keeping the back straight, until you can feel the abdominal muscles working, hold for 10 seconds then using the toes as a lever (this will put any pressure on the legs rather than the back) return to position 1.

Aim to increase repetitions and length of hold.

Leg Raises

I have found this exercise really affective over the years because it works on all the abdominal muscles from the stomach right down to the pelvic region. Be warned, its not for the feint hearted. You will need a watch that shows the seconds.

Lie flat on the floor or a hard surface, feet together with toes pointed.

Raise both legs together till you feel your heels are roughly 7 inches (18cm) off the floor - hold for 5 seconds.

From position 2 raise legs a further 7inches (18cm) so that the heels are roughly 14inches (36cm) off the floor hold for 5 seconds.

From position 3 raise the legs so that they are at right angles to the torso hold for 5 seconds (this will give some relief so best not to omit this stage).

Use the same stages as 2 and 3 above (omit stage 1) lowering the legs to 14 inches then 7inches holding for 5 seconds at each position.

Hold the left leg 7 inches from the floor whilst raising the right leg to 14 inches hold for 5 seconds. Hold the left leg at 7 inches from the floor and raise the right leg to right angles to the torso hold for 5 seconds.

Use the same stages as 6 and 7 above to lower the right leg to 14 inches then 7 inches from the floor holding for 5 seconds at each position ( at this stage both legs should be 7 inches from the floor) Repeat stages 6, 7 and 8 this time raising then lowering the left leg whilst keeping the right leg at 7 inches from the floor.

Both legs should now be 7 inches from the floor, hold this position for 20 seconds before returning both legs to the floor.

This exercise is particularly strenuous so dont be put off if you cant hold positions for the time suggested above. For each different position you will feel different muscles being worked on so try not to miss any stages out, if you find it to exhausting reduce the length of the holds instead.

Plan your weight loss program so that it includes plenty of exercise and healthy eating, tailored specifically to your needs. Remember that losing a few inches off your waistline may add that vital few years to your life.

Influencing Up! Specific Communication Tips for Men and Women

Erica Jong, author of the revolutionary book The Fear of Flying, once said, Men and women, women and men. It will never work. Well, I have more faith, and more experience in the business world than Ms. Jong. I know we can make it work, at work! - and at home, too. one of the top five challenges facing womens advancement involves communication differences between women and men in charge. but communication is also a challenge for many men whether they are in charge or not.

I want to emphasize that both men and women would be well served to use each others communication style in moderation. By no means should women use a masculine style exclusively, or vice versa. one of the most damaging behaviors many women adopt is trying to become one of the guys to fit into the traditionally mans world of business. Doing so suppresses their authenticity and in the long run, this does much more harm than good.

For those who may bristle at the suggestion to ever use a style other than their own, I suggest you just simply re-frame the perception.: Isnt this a twist to the Golden Rule treating others as you would like to be treated? I.e. if you would like to be communicated with in your style, assume that others would also prefer you communicate with them in their style.

The following are communication and behavioral tips for both men and women that will help improve their productivity, working relationships, and chances for advancement.

tips FOR WOMEN communicating WITH MEN (or feminine style with masculine style)

- Be succinct, to the point, but not abrupt.

- Hold details for back-up.

- Avoid tag questions, apologies, disclaimers (This is a good report, dont you think?), (Well, this is just my opinion, but).

- Take credit for your accomplishments. (Or someone else might!)

- Give updates whether asked for or not. (You are not bragging! If you dont communicate your successes to the powers-at-be, no one else will do it for you and your skills may be underestimated.)

- reduce personal disclosure and problems. (Men dont bond and process the same way women do. This behavior makes them uncomfortable and they may view it as weak and unstable.)

- Handle conflict directly, politely, with empathy. (Be clear, to the point, but not rude or abrupt. If you are nervous about an upcoming confrontation, write out your thoughts to clarify and focus them.)

- Make some decisions independently. (Rather than consistently asking others for their opinion for consensus sake. Men see this as indecision and lack of confidence.)

- Avoid strong displays of emotions. (Men see this as weakness - too emotional and not managerial.)

- Avoid saying Im sorry. (It communicates that you were wrong and is often perceived as weakness and powerless behavior.)

- When interrupted, be direct and courteous, not sharp, but take back the floor. (Hang on a second please, thanks. put your hand up to signal stop if you have to.)

- Remember you dont have to like someone to get the job done.

- Dont get mired in details; delegate, delegate, delegate. (Evaluate if the detail is truly necessary. If you get stuck with a big detail project, form a team to help you.)

- Communicate your vision for the company/department to men/people-in-charge, and your ideas for achieving this vision. If you dont have a vision, get one!

- Be flexible and keep a positive attitude about differences. (Different is not right, wrong, bad, or good just different!)

tips FOR MEN communicating WITH WOMEN (or masculine style with feminine style)

- Dont assume womens softer style means less competent. (Its just different than your style!)

- Be personable and insert a little personal disclosure. (Research regarding employees preferences for a masculine or feminine style of management consistently shows the latter is more effective and preferred by both men and women.)

- Maintain direct but not constant eye contact. (Women perceive lack of eye contact as intentional avoidance and disinterest in listening.)

- Say please and thank you more; use demands less.

- Avoid interrupting; use active listening skills. (Demonstrate that you are indeed hearing what she is saying.)

- offer more details, more often.

- Ask women for their input and opinions. (When you dont, women think you dont value their thoughts and contributions.)

- watch nonverbal language for confusion or upset. (Women often dont want to ask questions.)

- Recognize that her intentions may be different than your perception of her words or behavior.

- Say, Im sorry more often. (Including for small blunders or omissions.)

- Be empathetic but not afraid of womens tears. (Its just a different way of expressing emotion. Shes been told her entire life that its acceptable and even good to cry.)

- Dont underestimate a womans capability just because she doesnt talk about her accomplishments.

- Be flexible and keep a positive attitude about differences! different is not right, wrong, bad, or good just different!

With these tips, , I think we can continue to disprove Erica Jongs assumption that men and women together will never work. It will take commitment, consistency, and practice by both genders, but we can all eventually do it because many are working hard at this - and succeeding already!

Broadband Internet by Satellite and Bad Weather Issues

One of the greatest inventions in Broadband Internet has to be the incredible service offered by Broadband Internet Satellite company Direct PC, which is part of the Direct TV Hughes Network. This allows you to get your Internet service via satellite. It is very high-speed although there is a half-second delay from the satellite for uploading which you need to get use to although it seems as fast as the fastest DCL line I have ever used.

The only draw back is in severe storms or rain clouds you can often lose the signal, however with any electronics it is not always too awfully wise to be using lots of electrical stuff during thunder and lightning storms you know? Last year I fried my modem trying to stay online during one of those superstorm thunder cells? Dah, we have all seen enough storm stories to figure out that is a losing proposition indeed.

However besides that one little problem of the Bad Weather Issues, I must say the service is good and the speed kicks everyones butt and well I am a happy camper with mine. Although I do not always use it having several other options, it is my first choice for Broadband Internet Service and it makes so much sense for so many reasons. Maybe you might like this in 2006?

Why Comply? The Movement to W3C Compliance

The internet: a powerful tool with endless possibilities to advance business, connect people and share information. We believe that with those opportunities comes a real responsibility to understand its complexity and provide universal solutions to its issues.

For Web developers, in particular, the onus falls on creating sites aimed at maximizing client contact through well-rounded, functional vehicles that drive traffic and generate sales. And in today's global economy, it also means using code that is W3C compliant.

sharing the Knowledge
Luckily, the internet community can be a very friendly, helpful environment; one that understands the need for universality, develops protocols to meet the need and shares them with the masses. one non-partisan group playing a vital role in establishing common ground on the internet is the world wide Web Consortium. W3C, as it's known, claims a mission to lead the Web to its full potential by developing and dispersing inter-operable technologies and guidelines.

one of its most-significant achievements has been breaking down the barrier between businesses and their full customer base by creating coding guidelines for Web sites that enable any browser to view its pages. This means mega-browsers like internet explorer and emerging open-source options like Mozilla and Firefox can co-exist on the internet without impacting a company's bottom line.

Speaking the language
Understanding the importance of W3C compliance in your Web site coding is a straightforward concept. It's as easy as recognizing not all of your customers are using the same technology you are, and that building your Web site to be accessible by the greatest number of users is critical. While it was and mostly still is fairly safe to assume many users are surfing the Web with internet explorer or Netscape as their browser, we are confident that soon enough, that will not be the case. A fast-growing population of surfers is opting to employ open-source browsers like Mozilla and Firefox instead of a name-brand source.

When written with W3C compliance standards in-mind, whatever browser your customer uses to see your Web site becomes irrelevant. All of your information will appear on their screen and the rest is up to you.

Voluntary Compliance
Since there are no governing bodies forcing companies to comply with standards aimed at creating a universal Web, it's entirely voluntary. but we believe it's a choice that makes the most sense in the competitive internet economy. Thanks to the world wide Web Consortium, there is mechanism a standardization in language that opens the doors to business and its customers across the world.

Compliance makes Sense
There are no rules in place that say you can't build a Web site that's only viewable in internet explorer or Netscape. That's entirely up to you. What's also up to you is whether you are satisfied with the fact that customers a skyrocketing number of them will not be able to reach you because your Web site doesn't speak their computer language.
