Texas Bass Fishing - A Western Adventure

Texas is a large state with a lot of great qualities and features. It's hardly surprising to learn that Texas is home to plentiful and productive bass fishing opportunities. Fishing in Texas is often affectionately called big water fishing. There are many really big lakes in Texas that are also renowned for both the size and great quality of bass fish to be found there. However, since it is such a huge area, Texas bass fishing can seem overwhelming to those you don't know where the best fishing spots are, or who don't know how to navigate the vast Texas bass fishing waters.

If you are not familiar with Texas bass fishing waters, the first think you should do is seek the assistance of a professional guide. There is no reason to stumble around on your own when you can enlist the services of a professional guide. Many of these guides have excellent reputations for taking fishers to the best locations for catching bass fish. Once you've learned more about the waters with a guide, you will then be in a better position to return on your own for more fishing. Don't forget to tip your guides, too, as they are so helpful in starting your Texas bass fishing endeavors. A good guide who worked well with the customers should be rewarded accordingly, with a tip of perhaps one hundred dollars. Remember that you may be on vacation, but this is the guide's life's work.

Another way to learn more about Texas bass fishing is to ask around at local bait and tackle shops. The local anglers are great resources because they fish the waters themselves regularly. If they'll share their secrets, local can lead you to where the best fish are to be found. You can also use a topographical map of the lake bottom to try to find fish populations. No matter which approach you choose, Texas bass fishing can be great fun and very productive. By preparing on the front end, you can have a great day on the water.

While examining the great benefits of Texas bass fishing, remember to take special care to avoid potential risks. The Texas bass fishing waters are so large that some people have forgotten how to find their deck and have ended up spending uncomfortable nights on the boat when they got lost and/or ran out of fuel.

The weather can also be a great challenge to Texas bass fishers. Swells can develop quickly and grow to such size and strength that the lake starts feeling like an ocean. Constantly keeping track of weather reports, water and clouds can protect you from the possibility of rough water conditions and perhaps even capsizing, which is never a good thing for fishermen.

Ten Symptoms Texans Should Not Ignore

Everyone in Dallas, Houston and throughout the rest of Texas feels an occasional symptom or two from flu, cold, allergy or whatever is going around. But, when the symptoms become persistent, they could even become life threatening. Individuals who feel chest or abdominal pain, or experience unexplained bleeding, should seek immediate medical care. There are other symptoms that are less well known which, if you develop them, you should seek immediate medical care. Here are 10 symptoms that you should not ignore:

1. Unexplained weight loss
Experiencing a 5% weight loss in a month, or a 10% weight loss within 6-12 months, could be a symptom of a number of different conditions, including an over-active thyroid, depression, liver disease, cancer or other non-cancerous disorders which might interfere with how your body absorbs nutrients.

2. Persistent fever
Registering a persistent low-grade fever of more than 100.4 F should be evaluated if it lasts for a week or more. A low-grade fever can signal an underlying infection. Some cancers and other medical conditions can cause prolonged, persistent fever. A fever accompanied by violent chills, or higher than 103 F, should be evaluated right away.

3. Shortness of breath
Gasping for air or wheezing are medical emergencies. Causes can vary widely and can include asthma, heart problems, anxiety, panic attacks, or a blood clot in the lungs.

4. Unexplained changes in bowel habits
Bowel habit changes may signal a bacterial or viral infection, inflammatory bowel disease or, at the extreme, colon cancer. Seek medical attention for any of the following:
-Severe diarrhea lasting more than two days
-Mild diarrhea lasting a week
-Constipation that lasts for more than two weeks
-Unexplained urges to have a bowel movement
-Bloody diarrhea
-Black or tarry-colored stools

5. Mental status changes
Changes in behavior or thinking may be due to infection, head injury, stroke, low blood sugar or medications. Immediate medical care should be sought for any of the following:
-Sudden or gradual confused thinking
-Disorientation
-Sudden aggressive behavior
-Hallucinations

6. New or more-severe headaches -- especially for individuals over the age of 50. Seek immediate medical attention for:
-A sudden and severe headache, often called a thunderclap headache, because it comes on suddenly like a clap of thunder
-A headache accompanied by a fever, stiff neck, rash, mental confusion, seizure, vision changes, weakness, numbness, speaking difficulties, scalp tenderness or pain with chewing. Causes for headaches considered medical emergencies may include stroke, blood vessel inflammation, meningitis, brain tumor, aneurysm or bleeding on the brain after head trauma.

7. Short-term loss of vision, speaking, movement or control
With these symptoms, minutes count because they indicate the possibility of a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). Seek immediate medical attention for any of the following:
-Sudden weakness or numbness of the face, arm, leg on one side of the body
-Sudden dimness, blurring or loss of vision
-Loss of speech, or trouble talking or understanding speech
-A sudden or severe headache
-Sudden dizziness, unsteadiness or a fall

8. Flashes of light
The sudden sensation of flashing lights may signal the beginning of retinal detachment. Seek immediate medical care to save vision in the affected eye.

9. Feeling full after eating very little
Feeling full sooner than normal after eating a meal, or feeling persistent nausea or vomiting for a week, might indicate possible gastrointestinal disorders, pancreatic cancer, stomach cancer or ovarian cancer.

10. Hot, red or swollen joints
These warning signs can indicate a joint infection, which requires emergency care to save the joint and prevent the spread of bacteria. Other causes could include gout or certain types of arthritis.

Review Of The Negative Calorie Diet Part I And II

The two articles sound like a hybrid of the Raw Foods (vegan diet) and the 6 week body makeover diet by Michael Thurmond. Both experience very good weight loss if done properly. In the two programs they stress either no animal protein (vegan) or in small amounts 3 to 4oz in 5 to 6 meals per day (6 week body makeover). The Thermal calorie burning is key in both programs.

If the body is allow to burn or uses all the calories taken in at one meal before the next, weight loss will happen. Protein is much harder to metabolize than fruits and vegetables, so eating less protein allows your metabolism rate to go up. Higher the Basal metabolic rate the more calories burned and the more weight that is lost.

The important thing to remember with a strict Raw Food diet is? Because of reduced levels of calcium, iodine, and vitamins B12 and D, vegans are encouraged to take dietary supplements. On the minerals, salt should not be uses during weight loss. Any salt intake retains body fluids which hurts your weight loss program. The quicker you show weight loss the longer you will stay on the program.

No matter what diet you use Water is the key part of any successful weight loss program. The liver plays the main roll in the metabolism of fat in the human body. If the kidneys are deprived of water the liver has to pick up part of the kidneys functions, which in turns lowers the efficiency of metabolizing fat. You need at least 64oz of water a day for the human body to run like a fine tune machine.

This is a fine example of someone taking two weight loss programs and making one that works for them. Human body types are like cars, some run ok on cheap gas while others become clogged and breakdown. Not every diet fits every body type, so do the research and find out what works for you.

90+ Shooters - This Golf Article Is For You!

The advice I give in this article is aimed specifically at golfers that score over 90 for 18 holes of golf. But if you score under 90 for 18 holes you'll still find the advice I give you here valuable....so keep reading.

What you need to work on to score better is the following and this list is from the highest priority to the lowest

1. putting

2. Chipping

3. Pitching

4. Bunker Shots

5. driving

6. irons

7. fairway woods

You should work on improving your putting first because if you normally have 38 putts per round and you improve by 5 putts per round you've just knocked 5 shots off your score. This same philosophy applies to chipping and pitching. The more you can improve those two aspects of your game the better you'll score. And finally, you must get really good at bunker shots.

Now when you're practicing putting you should mainly work on distance control. So practice longer putts first and then leave the shorter putts till last. But don't practice your putting for too long. Just get some good feel for distance and then go and practice your chipping and pitching.

And when practicing your chipping you should concentrate on landing the ball where you want and then assessing how far it's going to roll to the hole. Then select a club that will be the most efficient at getting the golf ball close. Then when you practice your pitching you should mix up the distances you practice from so that you get a good feel for distance control. But experiment. Make practice fun. play some games. And this applies to bunker shots as well.

play some bunker shots out of unusual lies. For example, play a shot that's plugged, play another shot where you have to stand out of the bunker but the ball is in the bunker. Just have some fun. Even try a "Seve" and get out your 3-iron and try to get the ball out of the bunker with that. This will force you to use your imagination.

If you just worked on these four areas of your game consistently then your score will drop. It has to. Because it's been scientifically proven that shots inside 100 yards make up about 70% of golf. So therefore it makes sense to work on that part of the game the most.

Unfortunately most golfers work on their game the reverse of what I'm saying, and I suppose that's why there is so many "DRIVING RANGES" around! So remember this 70% practice rule when you next go out to practice and if you spend all of your practice time hitting long shots and you're not improving, then don't say I didn't warn you!

professional golfer Nick Bayley has found just one golf swing fault that could be stopping you from ball striking consistency and success. But now you can take a simple 2 minute golf swing test to see if you have this swing fault or not. Go here to take The golf swing test now: http://www.yourgolfswingtest.com
