The Sensible Weight Loss Program

I have attempted many weight loss plans over the last few years and I must admit that I have had next to no success. Things have however now changed; I have managed to formulate a diet which is based on common sense. The problem that I found with the majority of the weight loss programs that I had tried was the fact that they were just too hard to apply. What I was being asked to do was basically just not realistic.

I decided, after having realised that these weight loss programs were not suitable for me, that I would attempt to find my own weight loss solution. My first idea was a little crazy. I was aware that I was over-weight due to the amount of food I ate and therefore tried to get away with eating virtually nothing. Do not try this method as I now realise that this was a stupid idea. I did try but I soon realised that I would not be able to keep it up, it just made me feel so ill.

The next idea was to have a diet that was far more sensible, a diet I would be able to stick to. I did have to cut down on the amount of food that I was eating but only by around twenty percent.

What I needed to do, in order to reduce the food and drink intake, was to stop eating things like crisps, chocolate and peanuts. I had a great plan; each and every Friday I would drink around ten pints of beer. This in itself was not good for my weight but the main problem was the fact that after drinking this amount of alcohol, I would then go for a curry with my friends. The next day I would feel hungover and to help with the recovery process, I would eat lots of fatty type foods. The plan was to basically stop drinking the beer on a Friday night. If I could do that for around three months then all should be fine, I am happy to report that it was.

Best Lower Ab Workout - How to Blast the Lower Abs

Finding the best lower ab workout is not always an easy thing to do. It can be frustrating to keep trying to work the lower abs if you feel like you are not doing it right.

In this article, you will learn what it takes to have the best lower ab workout around.

Before we get into 3 exercises, it is important that you understand some basics about training the lower abs.

The first thing that you should understand is that just working the lower abs will not result in losing fat in that area. In order to lose fat in that area, you need to lose fat all over your body. This is how basic fat loss works. If you have a lot of fat to lose, then the best lower ab workout in the world won't do the trick all by itself. The same goes for someone who just has to lose the last few pounds.

The good news is that doing a great lower ab workout safely and effectively will help to strengthen your core, as well as tone those muscles up for when you are in the single digits with body fat percentage =)

Losing fat all over your body requires that you do the right combination of strength training (don't worry you will not get big and bulky), a special type of cardio called interval training, and most important, have a great diet.

Once you have those things under control, your fat loss efforts will be guaranteed.

But you came to this page looking for the best lower ab workout around, so here are a few exercises you can try right now.

Remember that training your abs is different than training other muscles. If you were working your biceps, you might try doing 3 sets of 10 reps for a few different exercises. For your lower abs, you will want to do a special sequence of exercises with little rest in between. This is called abdominal circuit training.

Here are some of the best lower ab exercises to try:

1. Alternating Supine Leg Walks

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical. Contract your abs so your midsection is tense.

Then, lower 1 leg so your foot is a few inches from the ground. Hold there for about 1 second, then return that leg to the starting position. Alternate which leg you lower.

Try a reps and really try to feel the lower abs working.

2. Supine Reverse Crunches

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical, then bend your knees at a 90 degree angle. Contract your abs so your midsection is tense.

Keeping your knees bent at the same angle, slowly lower them until the back of your feet are a few inches above the ground. Then, bring your knees up towards your chest and really squeeze your abs while doing this.

Repeat.

3. Leg Lifts

Start off by laying on your back with your hands under your buttocks. Lift your legs so they are vertical.

Contract your midsection by engaging the upper abs.

Then, lower both legs so that the back of your feet are right above the ground. After holding that position for a few second, return your legs to the vertical position.

Repeat.

All three of those exercises are part of getting the best lower ab workout possible. If you have any lower back problems at all, you should not hesitate to see a doctor for exercise advice. Now you know the basic components of having one of the best lower ab workouts. Remember your safety comes first!

Good luck, and remember to keep learning and stay persistent =)

An Exciting Life Vision

I have this exciting life vision that I am dedicated to implement during the coming years. It is clear and strong in my mind, and makes me enthusiastic in my efforts.

I have worked in an office for my entire working life. Being an IT engineer and consultant I have spent my work life at different development departments with computers and heaps of documents around me. Long days to meet delivery dates, complicated malfunctions that need to be investigated etc...

I want to get away from my office life! I do not wish to be tied down to fixed hours at a certain office. I want more flexibility, more freedom in my work life. I also want to meet more people in my work days. I have formed my life vision that I call Migrating Bird. The migrating birds move from one place to another dependent on the weather conditions. I love to travel, I love freedom and I love to have variation so my intention is to create a way to support myself that fulfills those wants. The way I see my vision all I need is a laptop, global internet connection, a lightly packed bag and a stack of airline tickets :o)

The trick to this is of course Internet. Internet is accessible even in the most remote corners of the world (well almost anyway!) and I already have a laptop! One of the cornerstones in reaching my goal is to write top quality articles and publish them on the Internet. Writing articles is not tied to a specific office or a specific time of the day! I can e.g. sit on a beautiful cliff in Cyprus or in a mountain village in Thailand and write my articles. It will certainly inspire me more to be in such an environment! All it takes to publish the articles is to connect to internet and submit the article(s) to several article sites. Sounds simple, does it not? So far so good. Only problem is that noone will pay me for doing that, so I need to add something more! A blog site and references to my blog site from the articles. The blog site will promote a product that will give me income! I will of course also promote and sell the product directly to people I meet!

I will also add some translation work. With my 27 years of experience from the computer industry I can translate technical documents from english to my mother tongue, swedish.

I have spent the last weekend practicing for my Life Vision! I went to Cologne, Germany, with a friend who share this desire to have a free working life! And boy did we have fun! There was a big party in Cologne on Saturday evening, probably around 1 million people were out in the streets of Cologne in the night! And there were fantastic fire works and public concerts along the river Rhein! Also a super opportunity to meet new people! Everyone is relaxed and happy, and it is easy to establish contact! Conversation will inevitably land somewhere in the what-do-you-do-for-a-living area. That is the time to start talking business, hand out business card and promote blog site!

We have also been very ambitious and written at least one articel each every day! So the vision works, it IS possible to work and have fun at the same time!

Now what is your vision for your working life, and when will you start to implement it?

The Rich Don't Need Golf Discounts - Do They?

Do rich people need golf discounts?

I suppose they dont even think about anything with the word discount attached to it? Maybe the rich people who golf have so much money that the thought of golf discounts never enters their mind?

With all the expenses that go into playing a round of golf like green fees, cart fees, golf balls, new golf clubs if necessary, do they even care what all that cost.

Conventional wisdom says that only the rich play golf. While it might be an expensive game to play, its not just for the rich.

Perhaps television and radio personalities like Rush Limbaugh or Samuel Jackson who are avid golfers and pretty good golfers to add dont need golf discounts. But, for the average Joe who has to take out a living finding discounts is almost like finding money on the street - you look around and grab it before anybody else does.

And of course, not all rich people pay for a round of golf every time they hit the links. They could belong to a country club where their green fees are apart of their pricey membership dues sometimes adding up to more than what some families earn in a year.

When youre not rich you pay attention to words like refund, even exchange, and money back guarantee. Those words mean a heck of a lot to the not so rich who want every bang for their buck.

As an avid golfer, you might spend hundreds of dollars on rounds of golf throughout the year. Shopping online at a golf shop or your local pro shop is routine.

For the high handicap golfer you would probably spend a lot of time looking for new golf balls because you lost a half-dozen on the front nine due to your mean slice that sends your tee shot into the woods never to be found again.

So you need the occasional golf discount on golf balls or a golf driver that is more forgiving. And unless you have a ton of cash like the rich, golf discounts are probably the only way to continue financing your golf habit on the cheap, no matter how bad your game.

Whats your way out if you are not rich? You could one day play well enough to qualify for a sponsors exemption on the big tour, win a golf tournament and get tons of endorsements and free golf equipment. Farfetched maybe, but until then you keep looking for the best golf discounts you can find to play the game you love.

Pregnancy and Excercising - 6 Reasons to Excercise During Pregnancy

Everyone knows that exercise is good for your health. Exercising during pregnancy can have additional benefits. Generally, exercise should be light, especially during the first few weeks of pregnancy while your body adjusts to the changes. Heavy exercise can divert blood flow from crucial areas and most women that exercise regularly should tone down their workouts during pregnancy.

Walking, swimming, and yoga are two popular exercise activities suitable for pregnant women. Other forms of exercise like weight lifting are okay too as long as it is not too strenuous. Most experts recommend exercising 3-4 times a week, unless a medical condition prevents it. If in doubt, always consult a physician first. Listed below are some of the top reasons for exercising during pregnancy.

  1. Exercise can reduce the length of labor and reduce recovery times. The right exercise routines will increase stamina needed for delivery.
  2. Improve emotional health - exercise lowers stress and improves emotional health and can make it easier for the new mother to get through the experience of pregnancy.
  3. Exercise can help with weight management after the child is born. A common concern with most mothers is losing weight after pregnancy. Exercising during pregnancy can make postpartum weight loss easier.
  4. Exercise is good for your unborn baby. By keeping your body healthy, you are also helping out your baby.
  5. Reduced pregnancy side effects - Symptoms like headaches, fatigue, swelling, and constipation are common in pregnant women. Exercising has been shown to reduce the occurence of these symptoms.
  6. Decrease risk of premature birth - exercise has been shown in studies to decrease the risk of premature birth by about 50%.

Make sure to drink plenty of fluids before exercising, have a nutritious diet, and avoid over exertion. Also, listen to your body - if you start feeling sick or nauseous, then you should stop and rest.
